Her Spirit Lives On – In Memory of Ms. Tan

Oneworld Hanxin College hereby mourns the passing of Ms. Tan, a key figure in the promotion of standard Mandarin pronunciation in Malaysia.

Ms. Tan dedicated her life to promoting Mandarin pronunciation education, cultivating expertise in broadcasting, dubbing, and pronunciation instruction for decades. She nurtured countless pronunciation teachers and broadcasters, earning her the reputation as one of the "Grand Masters of Standard Mandarin Pronunciation."

Ms. Tan also taught in the Department of Broadcasting at our college as a pronunciation lecturer. During her time teaching, she nurtured and influenced countless students. Even after leaving the classroom, she remained deeply concerned about the college's development. She personally attended the college's 35th anniversary celebration, joining faculty and students in the festivities. Furthermore, Ms. Tan attended the funeral of Mr. Lim Keng Hun, the founder and Life Honorary President of our college, demonstrating a profound and deeply cherished friendship.

Ms. Tan dedicated her life to standard Mandarin pronunciation education; her spirit and contributions will live on in the hearts of the industry and future generations. Though she has passed away, her unwavering pursuit and passion for standard Mandarin pronunciation will be admired and emulated by those who follow. Though her influence has faded, her exemplary teachings remain; her wisdom endures, and the torch of knowledge is passed on.
